Team Goemkarponn
CANACONA: The girls’ team from Shri Mallikarjun & Chetan Manju Desai College, Canacona, brought pride to Goa by securing the Bronze medal at the 8th West Zone Ball Badminton Championship (Girls) 2025-26, held in Jodhpur, Rajasthan from June 27 to 29.
The team, comprising Bindya Velip, Nital Gaonkar, and Akanksha Gaonkar, displayed remarkable skill and determination throughout the tournament. They were guided by Sports MTS Pankaj Velip and Physical Instructor Mayur Naik Gaunkar, whose coaching played a key role in the team’s success.
College Principal Dr. Rupa Chari congratulated the team on their impressive performance, commending the players and coaches for their hard work and dedication. The achievement marks yet another milestone in the college’s growing legacy in sports.
