CANACONA – In a welcome gesture for local students, Canacona councillor Shubham Komarpant, in association with the Shree Ravi Charitable Trust, has donated 50 new school benches to the Government High School (GHS) in Gaondongrim.
At a brief ceremony, Komarpant formally handed over one of the benches as a token gesture to School Headmaster Damodar Gaonkar, in the presence of Parent-Teacher Association chairman Pandurang Gaonkar and members of the Shree Ravi Charitable Trust, including Suraj Komarpant and Sunay Komarpant.
Speaking on the occasion, Komarpant highlighted that several classrooms at GHS Gaondongrim lacked proper benches, prompting the initiative to supply 50 new ones.
Trust member Suraj Komarpant, addressing the gathering, assured that the Shree Ravi Charitable Trust is committed to improving people’s lives, especially by meeting the basic needs of school-going children.
A large number of parents attending the event expressed gratitude to Komarpant and the Trust for their support and applauded the initiative as a meaningful step toward improving the school’s infrastructure.
