CANACONA: Canacona Deanery under the leadership of Fr. Patrick Luis, Dean of the Deanery, presented “Novsornni,” a poignant Konkani Lenten musical drama on Saturday at Ravindra Bhavan in Canacona, Chaudi
‘Novsornni’ is the powerful production, inspired by the life, sufferings, death, and resurrection of Jesus, with Fr. Octaviano Cunha wrote its Script and Lyrics.
In the spirit of synodality, the Canacona Deanery for the first time has come out together to bring this musical extravaganza to life. The talented cast of 80 artists drawn from all over the Deanery, comprising actors, singers, musicians, and choreographers, united on one stage and delivered a memorable and must appreciated performance, which any means audience saw it as a Musical Testament to Faith and Redemption.
Incidentally, “Novsornni” took the audiences to embark on a profound journey of spiritual reflection and renewal. Through its powerful narrative, haunting melodies, and captivating choreography, this Lenten musical promised and inspired audiences to reflect on their values and embrace a more meaningful, hopeful, and renewed life.

The Lenten Play at Ravindra Bhavan on Saturday packed to its capacity gave an unforgettable evening of music, drama, and faith with the audiences appreciating the talent, dedication, and hard work of the troupe as truly inspiring.
Interestingly, with many couldn’t get the opportunity to see the Lenten play have called-upon the Dean Fr. Patrick Luis to re-stage the Lenten musical drama sometime before the Easter.-
