CANACONA: The famous Rathsapatami zatrotsav of Shri Mallikarjun Devasthan at Shristhal, Canacona begins on Sunday, February 2. The same will be continued and concluded on Thursday with Mahaprasada on Thursday (February 6th ) after the procession of Shri Mallikarjun is taken.
On 2nd morning time it will be Shre Mallikarjun Abhishek, while the Shri’s small festival murthi will be placed in the chariot and a procession will be taken at 9.30 pm. The play ‘Jai Jai Gaurishankar’ will be performed followed by the Mahaprasad and then Shristhasthawasi artists will perform.
In the morning session on the 5th, after all the religious rituals, at 7.30 pm. Shri’s procession from Vijay Rath will be taken followed by Maha Puja at 9.30 pm.
The Marathi comedy drama ‘Abol Preeti Abol Kahani’ will be presented by the Agonda drama artist.
The Religious rituals of the morning, will be taken in a procession carrying the chariot on the shoulder in the afternoon, at 4.30 pm. Palakhi, Maha Puja, Mahaprasad will be at 9.30 pm. The play ‘Apple Apple’ will be presented by the drama artist of Gulem.
On the 5th morning, the ritual of religious rituals until at 7.30 pm. The procession carrying Shri’s idol on Red Chariot, and Mahaprasad will be at 9.30 pm. Vijayawada drama artist will be experimenting with the play ‘Lion Chhava’.
On the next morning Sreesan Abhishek will be held followed Havan, Rathodapan, Shree’s Rathorehan and the Mahaprasad at 4.30 pm, followed by Maha Puja will be at night. The historical theater will be presented by the Nuvekar Drama Artists ‘Megha Gorjan’.
After that, the procession will be held from the Maharatha in the morning. After that, Gudi Prasad and Zatrotsav will be held. This year for the first time a new Shri’s Festival Idfol will be placed on the chariot, which was recently acquired from Belgaum artisans.
