CANACONA: Canacona police booked a resident of Palolem for assault and wrongful restraint of another person over a property dispute.
According to Canacona police, Jayesh Anant Pagi of Nagarcem was assaulted by one Deepesh Dilip Pagi of Palolem after wrongfully restraining him while he was on his way towards his ancestral house at Palolem.
Deepesh is accused of restraining Jayesh who was proceeding to his ancestral house at Palolem and assaulting him with slaps and fist blows wearing a metallic ‘Kadda’ worn on his right-hand wrist over the issue of property dispute.
The victim Jayesh sustained injuries on his head and other parts of his body, police informed..
Canacona police served notice to accused Deepesh under section 35/3 of BNSS and further investigation will be carried out by PSI Ramdas Doifode of Canacona police station.
