CANACONA: Emphasising the spirit of national integration, the Canacona Police, along with the Traffic Cell, organised a ‘Unity Run’ on Friday morning to commemorate Ekta Diwas — the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the ‘Iron Man of India’.
The run, led by Canacona Police Inspector Harish Raut Dessai and Traffic Cell Police Inspector Gautam A. Salunke, saw enthusiastic participation from police personnel, including women officers.
Starting from the Canacona Police Station at Mastimoll, participants covered a distance of around 5 kilometres along the internal route to Rajbhag-Tarir.
Speaking on the occasion, PI Dessai said the Unity Run was conducted to uphold the values of unity and integrity that Sardar Patel stood for, reaffirming the police force’s commitment to national cohesion.
