CANACONA: A narcotics raid carried out by Canacona police at the Char Rasta flyover led to the arrest of Manoj Yadav, a resident of Lakhisarai, Bihar, for alleged possession of ganja. Authorities seized 5.097 kilograms of the substance, estimated to be worth ₹5,09,700 in the illegal market.
Following his arrest, Yadav was produced before the Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) in Quepem, who remanded him to five days of police custody. Officials confirmed that further investigation is underway to determine possible links to a broader drug network.
The seizure forms part of an intensified drive by local law enforcement to curb narcotics-related activities in the region.
