PANAJI: Irrespective of whether the third wave of COVID hit Goa or not, the Health Minister Vishwajit Rane said that economic activities have to continue for survival of those dependent on it.
Rane said that the commercial activities cannot be held back for a long time in Goa but at the same time, people need to be cautious about the third wave.
“I have said this before also. You cannot shut economic activities for long. They need to continue even if there is third wave,” Rane said.
He also appealed people to also act with responsibility as government alone cannot fight back.
“We have opened up for tourism. People entering the State need to take all precautions and act very responsibly,” he said.
On school reopening, Minister said that the government will take the decision following recommendation from the Expert committee.
