PANJIM: As 22 fresh cases get reported in the capital city of Panaji, Porvorim IND MLA Rohan Khaunte today said that the fears that he had raised much earlier seems to be coming true.
Khaunte also said that if this spread continues, we are staring at a stage of Total Administrative Failure as key Government offices are based in the city.
“We’re also aware by now that the official figures are far from correct which again is a cause for anxiety as the spread can be fast and uncontrollable in the congested capital.”
The controversial situation in Altinho wherein the issue of 12 positive cases was mishandled is a shameful incident happening under the very nose of our Dr CM.
“The Covid deaths are just 9 short of 100 and as Goa keeps creating unhealthy record’s reaching 570 new cases per day, crossing 10000 confirmed cases with 3491 active cases , it’s a truly alarming situation for our small but densely populated state.” He said
Meanwhile, the MLA request the CM to invoke a control from grassroot levels with the help of all Elected Representatives cutting across party politics to combat the pandemic.
