Colva: Colva Police have registered a case of rash and negligent driving following a road accident that left two persons injured near Cavelossim Church junction.
According to a complaint filed by Shrinives Ghadi, a resident of Dharbandora, the incident occurred on December 28, 2025, at around 6.00 pm. The accused driver, identified as Minroy Menino, a resident of New Corner, Sursoru, Salcete, was allegedly driving his Polo car in a rash and negligent manner while proceeding from Carmona towards Cavelossim.
Police stated that upon reaching the sharp turn near Cavelossim Church junction, the car went onto the wrong side of the road and collided with an Activa scooter coming from the opposite direction. As a result of the collision, the complainant and the pillion rider sustained bodily injuries.
Based on the complaint, Colva Police have registered an offence and further investigation is being carried out by HC-6307 Kamlakar Velip.
