QUEPEM: A car caught fire at Quepem in the wee hours of Wednesday after the driver lost control and hit the electricity pole.
Presly Aviton Dcosta, resident of Cotto Amona Quepem, hit his Maruthi Zen car on the electricity pole, as he lost control, and eventually the car caught fire.
However, luckily he he had a miraculous escape as even though his car was gutted in fire the driver survived.
This accident took place at 2 am. It is reported that Dcosta was travelling to Quepem market, when he was involved in a self accident.
When the local Councillor Dayesh Naik was asked about this accident, he said, “This horrible incident happened today at 2 am, and thankfully no harm caused to anyone, however it surely would have brought great distress to a couple of people if it had took place when there is rush.”
“This incident has caused some structural damages around, also the electricity poles and advertising boards are damaged, which will cost around 50 thousand rupees,” Naik added.
This accident was reported by PI Deepak Pednekar of Quepem Police Station.
