MARGAO: Margao Town police have registered a case against a car driver for allegedly driving in a rash and negligent manner and hitting a scooter near the Municipal Garden in Margao.
According to police, the incident occurred at around 10.30 am when an Ertiga car driven by Ashley Ryan Fernandes, a resident of Agalli, Gogol, was proceeding from the SBI Bank side towards the Old Market. On reaching near the Municipal Garden, the car allegedly rammed into the rear right side of an Activa scooter travelling ahead.
The scooter rider, identified as Abdul Majid Nawar, a resident of Dicarpali, Davorlim, sustained bodily injuries in the accident.
The case has been registered on a complaint filed by a police official on behalf of the State. Further investigation is being carried out by Margao Town police.
