VASCO: Elevated as Cardinal by Pope Francis, two weeks in teh Vatican City, Cardinal Filipe Neri Ferrao arrived in the State from Rome in the early morning to a rousing welcome at Goa Airport.
Clergies, parishioners and legislators MLAs Carlos Ferreira, Alex Sequeira and Anton Vas, were present to welcome the Cardinal at teh Airport.
Cardinal Ferrao arrived at the 2.30 am flight; he was greeted by many of the people who had been anxiously waiting to see him and seek his blessings.
The Cardinal was welcomed by singing a hymn at the Airport.
Cardinal’s motorcade was led by Parish vehicles, which made the first Halt at Chicalim Church bus stop and then at St Cruz Chapel Dabolim.
