Panaji: During Zero Hour in the Goa Assembly MLA Carlos Ferreira raised safety concerns regarding electrical poles in his constituency, pointing out that mud has accumulated around several poles and some are in a deteriorated condition.
Ferreira warned that such conditions posed a risk to public safety and urged the government to take prompt corrective measures.
Responding to the issue, Public Works Department Minister Sudin Dhavalikar acknowledged that the accumulation of mud around electrical poles is a common problem in various parts of Goa. He assured the House that the concerned authorities would remove the mud and replace the damaged poles at the earlies
