Case booked against unknown for gold theft at Mapusa

MAPUSA: Mapusa police have booked an unknown person for committing theft of Gold ornament worth Rs 1.50 lakhs from a house at Pintowaddo in Verla canca.
According to police, one Nuzhat Ansari, 26 resident of Pinto waldo in Verla-Canca, on Tuesday lodged a complaint against an unknown accused of entering her house by breaking the main door lock decamping with gold ornaments worth Rs 1.50 lakhs. Police said that incident took place between August 21, 7.30 pm, to August 23. Police said that since the house was locked, thieves took advantage and committed a crime.
Mapusa police registered an offence under section 454, 457 and 380 of Indian penal code against unknown persons in this connection.
Mapusa police are further investigating the case.
