MARGAO: Goa’s Director General of Police (DGP), Alok Kumar, paid a visit to the Margao police headquarters to assess the status of investigations into employment scams in South Goa.
He took the status about the progress of cases filed in police stations around the district, including Ponda, Mardol, Vasco, and Canacona, where recent reports of job scams have been made.
Along with the corresponding Sub-Divisional Police Officers (SDPOs) from Margao, Canacona, Vasco, and Ponda, DGP Kumar was joined at the meeting by Sunita Sawant, the Superintendent of Police (SP) for South Goa.
DGP Kumar gave officials instructions to look into each matter thoroughly and take the appropriate action.
DGP Kumar told the reporters in a brief statement that he asked for updates on the FIRs that were lodged in these cases.
While reviewing a number of job fraud cases that have been reported in South Goa, SP Sawant characterized the DGP’s visit as normal.
