BICHOLIM: On Thursday, a second victim of Priya Yadav’s scam went to the Bicholim Police, alleging that Yadav had defrauded her of Rs 35 lakh by promising to buy her real estate and train shops.
Yadav is currently being held by the authorities for deceiving individuals by promising them work in the railway industry. Jayanti Raghunath Vaigankar, a resident of Bordem in Bicholim, said in her lawsuit that she had made partial payments to Yadav between 2017 and June 2024.
In addition, she had donated the gold jewels, for which Yadav paid her nothing. Vaigankar also claimed that Yadav had used similar promises to defraud her three sisters out of lakhs.
