Curchorem: Police have registered a theft case following a complaint regarding a break-in at the Sai Baba Temple at Kamral, Curchorem.
According to the complaint lodged by Vijay Panchawadkar, a resident of Kamral, the incident occurred on February 2, 2026, at around 12.23 am.
An unknown accused person allegedly gained entry into the temple by breaking open the back door and stole cash amounting to approximately ₹50,000 from the temple’s fund peti.
On receiving the complaint, Curchorem police registered an offence and initiated investigation into the matter. Further investigation is being carried out by PSI Prajot Bakhale of Curchorem Police Station.
Police are working to trace the accused and recover the stolen cash.
