PANAJI: The management and employees of Cruise Casino have been charged by the Panjim Police with impeding Directorate of Enforcement investigators on board the cruise on December 12.
Poluri Chenna Kesava Rao, Assistant Director, Directorate of Enforcement, Mangaluru, Karnataka, reportedly filed a complaint alleging that he and his investigative team were deterred by the alleged accused, Ashok Wadia, Director of Cruise Casino Pride, Gopal Ramnath Naik, Arti Raja employees of Casino Pride, and others, at Cruise Casino Pride.
Additionally, the accused violated the directive issued by Directorate of Enforcement official Piyush Kumar Yadav, Joint Director, by threatening to harm them, unfairly confining them in a room while they were performing their official duties, and destroying the evidence they had gathered during the search process in accordance with section 17 PMLA (Prevention of Money Laundering Act) in the crime that the Enforcement Department had registered.
