PANAJI: As a mark of respect to the “Father of the Nation,” Mahatma Gandhi, the Department of Home (General) has announced that all casinos in the State will remain closed on October 2, 2025. All casino licensees have been instructed to suspend operations from 12:00 a.m. on October 2 (intervening midnight of October 1 and 2) until 12:00 a.m. on October 3 (intervening midnight of October 2 and 3), for a full 24-hour period, in observance of Gandhi Jayanti.
