PANAJI: Corporation of the City of Panaji (CCP) Mayor Rohit Monserrate said that the corporation had extended the time for trade license renewal until September.
“Due to COVID-19 pandemic, many people cannot pay house, and we at CCP do not want to burden the people of Panjim, and that is reason extended the time for trade license renewal till September,” said Rohit
He further said that currently, CCP is in debt of Rs 39 cr, and we need that money for the functioning of the corporation. We demand people to pay the principal amount of Rs 16 cr.
Monserrate said that the Imagine Panjim Smart City Development Limited (IPSCDL) on Wednesday approved proposals to make two city roads as smart roads and rejuvenate the St Inez creek.
He said that the board of directors meeting chaired by Chief Secretary Parimal Rai also decided to construct two overhead water reservoirs to provide water 24×7 for Panjim city and build a footbridge at Patto-Panaji.
