The pendency of COVID19 cases seems to be increasing with every passing day with now reports arriving seven days after the swab tests being carried out.
Corporation of City of Panaji (CCP) Mayor Uday Madkaikar has fumed at the delay of Health department in declaring the results.
Madkaikar said that one patient who tested positive from Mala seven days back, his six family members tested positive today.
“The swabs were taken seven days back,” he said.
This is not the first time Mayor is annoyed with the DHS as last time he had criticized them for not informing the CCP and corporator about positive cases.
On Thursday there were six new cases in Mala (of the relatives), and one each in Ribandar, Fish market building, St.Inez, Bandh and Amina building, Chincholem.
Total 10 cases were reported in Panjim today, he said.
