PANAJI: Corporation of City of Panaji(CCP) today has asked all service providers such as Electricity Department, Telecommunication, Reliance Jio, Broad Band, Cable TV operators etc who are responsible for the cables found from pole to pole, building to building hanging from trees etc to voluntarily remove all the overhead and other cables within the jurisdiction of corporation before Aug 31.
CCP has warned that such cables will be removed and all material will be confiscated thereafter.
“The Municipal limits of the Corporation of the City of Panaji has witnessed a spate of cables and wires tied haphazardly on various poles and trees making the city looki shabby appearance and several looped cables in various drains and side walks hav resulted in accumulation of garbage and waste materials,” said CCP
It is therefore directed that opportunity be given upto 31st August 2021 to voluntarily remove all such overhead and other cables thereafter the Corporation of the City of Panaji will take no responsibility of the loss caused during removal operations.
