Panaji: Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (Rooftop Solar Division) has allocated 75 MW to Goa under phase 2 of solar roof top scheme.
Under the Scheme the Ministry of new and renewable energy will provide 40 percent subsidy to residential roof top upto 3 kw and 20 percent for 3 kw to 10 kw..
The allocation was sonw bases on the demand received from DISCOMs/Electricity Departments in FY 2019 20 and 2020-21 in residential sector.
The allocation letter says in case the allocated capacity is exhausted by any DISCOM before the timelines, the concerned DISCOM may request for the additional capacity and the same will be considered by MNRE on the basis of targets and the guidelines of the programme. case of poor progress the balance capacity may be allocated to some other States /UTs where progress and demand is more.
