PANAJI: Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change today has approved the master plan for Bondla Zoo.
“I am grateful to Union Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change Shri Bhupendra Yadav for approving the master plan for Bondla Zoo,” said Minister Vishwajit Rane.
He further said that this plan would help us to implement our strategic vision and conservation mission in line with the idea of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
“We will ensure holistic and integrated development through this master plan in the right perspective,” he added.
Rane said that his goal is to make it a unique destination that attracts both tourists and locals, similar to the Byculla Zoo in Mumbai.
“Additionally, we shall be getting certain species from other states to make it an inclusive zoo, an atmospheric envelope between nature and architecture,” he said.
“During my visit to Delhi, I shall be calling upon Union Minister to deliberate and get a clearance on the master plan,” he added.
