PANAJI: Students from Chimbel Village were honoured in a special felicitation program organized by the Al Momin Association, aiming to support education and promote social welfare in the community. The event took place with the presence of notable guests, including Rudolfo Fernandes, MLA of St. Cruz; Urfan Mulla, Chairman of the Goa State Hajj Committee; and Girish Uskaikar, Zilla Panch Member of Chimbel.
The program recognized the achievements of SSC and HSSC students and acknowledged the efforts of local social warriors. Among the attendees were Sandesh Shirodkar, Sarpanch of Chimbel Village; Rosy Utikuri, Dy. Sarpanch; and Panch Members Nisar Ahmed, Ravindra Chopdekar, and Manisha Chopdekar.
Al Momin Association President Mehboobsab Batheri welcomed the guests, while Secretary Mohammad Aslam Khan delivered the vote of thanks.
Dr. Jude D’Souza is in charge of the Primary Health Centre of Chimbel; Gurudas Desai is a former Dy. Collector of Tiswadi; PI Satish Padwalkar, Old Goa Police Inspector; and Abdul Aziz Mulla, Former Headmaster of Anjuman Nurul Islam High School in Panjim, also participated in the event.
