The disengagement comes a day after National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval had a video conferencing with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on July 5 in which it was resolved that both India-China should conclude the ongoing disengagement at the LAC.
India recently had deployed air defence systems in the eastern Ladakh region, people close to this development said.
The air defence systems in the Indian Military include Akash, Israeli made SpyDer and the Russian made Pechora. ADS is a system, weapon, or technology involved in the detection, tracking, interception, and destruction of attacking missiles, helicopters, fighter jets and unmanned aerial vehicles.
Also, Indian Forces have been put up on high alert and have been asked to maintain a strict vigil on the Chinese activities around the border, airspace and important sea lanes.
