Aam Aadmi Party today strongly condemned the BJP government policy of harassing people of Goa and said local MLA Churchill Alemao is hand in gloves.
Briefing media persons Capt V enzy Viegas said the BJP government stopped a cultural program which was part of Christmas celebration at Seraulim on 27 December.
“The very fact that the local MLA Churchill was not present nor the newly elected ZP member Vanya Baptista were present indicated that they were aware of the government plan,” he said.
AAP leader MacLean Coutinho said she was surprised with the police presence and said 150 police could not have come to protect 50 people.
“Our tiatrist have highlighted issues and the police that day said anybody singing songs on coal would be arrested,” she said.
Venzy termed Dr Pramod as Salazar and said such tactics will not work with Goans and pointed out that Churchill had got the highest votes in Seraulim and said the people should seriously think about his act.
Hanzel Fernandes the ZP member from Benaulim and Ashwarya who was AAP candidate in Colva were also present for the briefing.
Venzy demanded that Churchill Alemao should immediately condemn this dictatorial act by the BJP govt.
