PANAJI: CKB Martial Art Academy made a remarkable mark at the Khelo India Kickboxing Championship held at the Mapusa Sports Complex in Peddem, with all 11 participating girls winning medals and upholding the academy’s values of discipline, strength, and girl empowerment through sports.
CKB’s students delivered an outstanding performance, collectively securing multiple gold, silver, and bronze medals across various categories. The academy’s founder, Sir Hussain Mulla, along with female coach Liby Mendonça, male coach Imam Mulla, and secretary Mehrun Sheikh, were present to support and encourage the young athletes.
Top performers included Ahd Mulla, who bagged three golds and one silver, Ainsley Dsouza with three golds, and Afifa Mulla and Sejal Parsekar with two golds each. Saanchi Chavan earned one gold, two silvers, and a bronze, while Aarohy Kamble and Atifa Mulla each took home a gold and a bronze. Zoya Dori and Pranjal Kamble added one gold each to the tally, and Raashi Kamble and Inaya Mulla claimed silver medals.
The event also featured CKB referees and judges, including Sejal Parsekar, Masood Katwalia, and Sagar Naik, ensuring fair and professional adjudication throughout the championship.
The academy’s flawless record at the championship reflects its commitment to nurturing talent, fostering discipline, and empowering girls through sports. The success of its athletes demonstrates the academy’s growing reputation as a centre of excellence for martial arts in Goa.
