The Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GBSHSE) has introduced Mathematics Level 2 for Class X for the current academic year. The Academic Council of the Board during its meeting held in February, decided to introduce the subject.
“The syllabus of Mathematics level 2 is same as that of Level 1, only question paper will be different with difficulty level of the questions on lower side,” GBSHE said in the circular issued to all Secondary Schools.
The Board said that the students who do not desire to continue Mathematics after class X and those who do not want to pursue Science Stream after SSC can opt for Mathematics Level 2.
The students will be permitted to answer the Level 2 with prior permission of the Board.
