PANAJI: In a move to facilitate the construction of a service road on the existing Ribander bypass, the Executive Engineer, Work Division – VII (NH) PWD, Panaji, has announced the closure of the Left-Hand Side (LHS) Main Carriageway (MCW) of NH-748. The closure, which will affect all types of vehicular traffic, is scheduled to take place from April 9, 2025, to May 23, 2025.
During this period, vehicles traveling from Ponda towards Panaji will be diverted onto the Right-Hand Side (RHSMCW) of NH-748 for a short distance. The diversion is aimed at ensuring the smooth and efficient completion of the ongoing construction work on the service road without causing significant disruption to traffic flow.
Motorists are advised to follow the diversion signs and cooperate with the authorities to ensure the timely completion of the work. The PWD has emphasized the importance of this temporary traffic adjustment to avoid delays and facilitate the unhindered progress of the construction activities.
The public is encouraged to plan their travel accordingly to minimize inconvenience during this period.
