PANAJI: The State cabinet under CM Dr Pramod Sawant today accorded its approval to grant one-time financial relief of Rs 5000 to the marginal and traditional occupants, whose livelihood is affected due to Covid pandemic.
Under this scheme, the state government will provide one time relief of Rs 5,000 to 25,000 to 30,000 people from unorganized sector who have lost their livelihood due to covid pandemic.
“Cabinet has today approved one time relief of Rs 5,000 to 25,000 to 30,000 people from unorganized sector who have lost their livelihood due to covid pandemic,” said CM Sawant
He further said that Those practising traditional occupations and registered under social welfare, Rickshaw, motorbike and taxi owners, MGNREGA workers etc can avail the scheme.
“The benefits can be received by filling up a simple form, in addition government will collate the list of eligible beneficiaries from respective associations and other similar means,” he added.
