With an eye on bringing down mortality rate to zero, Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant has asked all the health officers to pull up they socks and strictly monitor the home isolation patients and begin anti-biotic treatment from day one.
Sawant had a teleconference review meeting with Health Minister Vishwajit Rane, Health Secretary Nila Mohanan, Director Health, Dean Goa Medical College, Collectors, dy collectors, mamlatdars etc
CM asked that the those present for the meeting to work hard for decreasing mortalities.
“I am not worried about criticism, I am worried about saving lives, Goa has best medical facilities bust despite this people are dying my concern is that,” he said adding priority is to bring down deaths to zero.
Sawant also blamed the people for delaying treatment as patients arrive when the condition is uncontrollable.
He asked the health officers for strict monitoring of home isolation patients.
“Do not rely completely on IMA doctors, monitor home isolation patients yourselves,” CM said.
He urged the doctors to begin anti-biotic treatment for home isolation patients from day one.
“Even if there is slight fever start antibiotic,” he said.
