PANAJI: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on World TB Day virtually joined the national launch of the TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan – 100 Days Campaign led by Union Health Minister J. P. Nadda and reiterated Goa’s commitment to eliminating tuberculosis.
Sawant said the campaign’s focus on early screening, timely diagnosis, complete treatment and Jan Bhagidari is a strong step towards achieving a TB-free India. He emphasized that Goa will actively contribute to the mission through intensified early detection, patient-centric care, awareness drives and strengthening of healthcare services.
The Chief Minister also highlighted that provisions in the Goa Budget 2026–27 further support the state’s efforts to enhance healthcare infrastructure and accelerate progress towards a TB-free Goa.
