Taleigao: Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant inaugurated CONVERGE 3.0 – Shiksha Udyojak Sangam, an Academia-Industry Summit themed “Innovation, Integrate, Impact: Building Goa’s Future Ready Changemakers,” at the Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Stadium. The summit was organised by the Goa State Higher Education Council (GSHEC) in collaboration with the Directorate of Higher Education (DHE).
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister emphasised the importance of strengthening collaboration between academia and industry to equip students with future-ready skills and foster innovation-driven growth in Goa. He highlighted the State government’s commitment to promoting entrepreneurship, research, and skill development among youth.
On the occasion, the Chief Minister felicitated the winners of the Young Innovators Challenge across various categories, including Poster Competition, Creative Cluster on the topic “Digitally Document Our Goan Heritage,” and TAKE 17: Short Film Event, encouraging students to leverage creativity and technology to preserve and promote Goa’s rich cultural heritage.
Director, Directorate of Higher Education & DTE, Shri Bhushan Savaikar; Director, Department of Entrepreneurship Education & Entrepreneurship Development, Dr. Satya Ranjan Acharya; Program Director, DHE and Convenor of Converge 3.0, Dr. Niyan Marchon; along with other dignitaries, faculty members and students were present for the summit.
