Panaji: Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant on Tuesday interacted with a delegation of the 66th National Defence College (NDC) Course, led by Brigadier Rajneesh Mohan, Secretary, NDC, as part of the Understanding India Study Tour.
The delegation comprised 15 officers, including six international officers from Kenya, Myanmar, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, Sri Lanka and Nigeria. The interaction offered an opportunity for an in-depth exchange of views on Goa’s socio-political environment, economic development and governance framework.
“Such interactions are extremely valuable as they promote mutual understanding, strategic cooperation and global camaraderie. Goa is proud to share its governance practices and development journey with future strategic leaders from India and friendly nations,” Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said.
The Chief Minister noted that engagements with institutions like the NDC help strengthen India’s diplomatic and strategic ties while offering participants a ground-level understanding of diverse regions of the country.
Officials said the visit forms part of the NDC’s broader initiative to expose course participants to India’s administrative systems, regional diversity and policy challenges.
