QUEPEM: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Quepem has slammed the Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant and Dy Chief Minister babu Kavlekar for inaugurating an incomplete market project in the constituency.
Former Quepem Municipal Chairperson and AAP party leader Raul Pereira challenged the Deputy Chief Minister to shift the relocated market vendors in the inaugurated market project if the project has been totally completed.
In a press conference, Raul Pereira challenged the BJP minister Babu Kavlekar to immediately shift the market vendors and traders inside the newly built and recently inaugurated market complex project if the project is really completed fully.
Pereira alleged that the Quepem market complex, which was inaugurated by Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant on 30th December, has been hurriedly done to give credit to Minister Kavalekar.
Pereira claimed that the project work is not fully completed, and the interior work is yet to be completed.
“It was my initiative to relocate the traders and market vendors from the dilapidated municipal market building when I was the chairperson of Quepem municipality. That time nobody, not even MLA Kavlekar, helped me.
Back then, I met former Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar and got the funds sanctioned for constructing this new municipal complex,” he said.
