PANAJI: Porvorim MLA Rohan Khaunte said that Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has been leveraging the Bhumiputra Bill in Sattari for his game of one-upmanship against the rising influence of Vishwajit Rane.
“Sawant has been leveraging the Bhumiputra Bill in Sattari for his game of one-upmanship against the rising influence of Vishwajit Rane within the cabinet and party,” said Khaunte
He further said that such infighting in BJP leaves no time for adminstration
“The Dictatorship of CM Sawant is evident even within the Cabinet when he introduced the Bhumiputra Bill despite objections of Revenue Minister and Revenue Secretary,” he added
Khaunte also questioned whether Goans want a Dictator for another tenure?
Meanwhile, Khaunte said that Vector borne disease like dengue are on the rise as government has failed to ensure preventive measures like waste and drainage clearance, fumigation.
“Election Jhumlas take precedence over providing a basic healthy living environment,”Khaunte added
