PANAJI: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant clarified that the revised parking fees at Manohar International Airport (Mopa) apply only to private vehicles and not to taxis.
He assured that the hike has been put on hold till October 3, pending discussions with taxi associations.
Sawant’s statement came after a delegation of taxi leaders, led by Goa Forward Party chief Vijai Sardesai and Revolutionary Goans Party president Manoj Parab, met him in Panaji to raise concerns over the fee increase.
The delegation later conveyed the CM’s assurance to protesting operators outside the airport. Following this, the taxi operators called off their agitation.
