With Nadda, Sawant sought speedy approval for Goa’s proposal to add 50 MBBS seats at Goa Medical College, increasing intake from 180 to 230.
The proposal, already before the National Medical Commission, is aimed at meeting the rising demand for medical education and boosting the state’s healthcare capacity.
Sawant also thanked Nadda for the Centre’s role in the passage of the Goa Scheduled Tribes Political Reservation Bill in Parliament.
In his meeting with Amit Shah, the CM expressed similar gratitude and extended an invitation to visit Goa in September to launch the Mhaje Ghar Yojana housing scheme along with several other flagship projects.
