Goa Police today registered a FIR against unknown person for threatening the Chief Minister Pramod Sawant.
The case has been registered by Panaji Police
under section 504, 506 (ii), 507 and 384 of IPC
following complaint from Chief Ministers office.
Police informed that as per complaint received from CMO, the Chief Minister started receiving threatening calls and ransom messages from a private number on his personal number.
Panaji police said the sender has demanded money ranging from Rs 20 lakh to Rs 50 lakh.
