PORVORIM: Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant on Tuesday chaired the 4th meeting of the Central Project Steering and Management Committee (CPSMC) of the GoVAN Project at Mantralaya, Porvorim, to review the project’s progress, ongoing initiatives and the roadmap ahead.
During the meeting, teams from FIDR and GoVAN presented updates on key interventions focused on improving community nutrition, strengthening grassroots development and enhancing welfare outcomes for vulnerable groups.
Chief Minister Sawant emphasised the government’s commitment to ensuring that the benefits of welfare schemes reach every eligible household.
“The Government of Goa is fully committed to strengthening last-mile service delivery. The GoVAN project is an important step toward ensuring that nutrition, development programmes and welfare services reach beneficiaries in a timely and impactful manner,” the Chief Minister said.
He called upon all departments involved to work in close coordination to accelerate implementation and deliver measurable improvements on the ground.
Sawant added that ongoing monitoring and community participation are essential for the success of the project, and assured that the government will continue to support initiatives that improve quality of life across Goa.
