PANAJI: Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant strongly condemned remarks made from the stage of the INDI alliance rally in Bihar, terming them “shameful and utterly disgraceful.”
In a statement, Sawant said a “despicable insult” was hurled at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s late mother, which he described as a reflection of the “moral bankruptcy of Congress, Rahul Gandhi and the INDI alliance.”
“This is not political discourse, it is an attack on our values and culture. The people of Bihar will never forgive this insult. Rahul Gandhi and his allies must be held accountable for allowing such vile behaviour on their platform,” the Chief Minister said.
Sawant further stated that the nation stands firmly with the Prime Minister and “against this indecency.”
