Panaji: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant handed over appointment letters to newly recruited Assistant State Tax Officers and State Tax Inspectors of the Department of Commercial Taxes at Mantralaya.
The recruitment was conducted through the Goa Staff Selection Commission, reinforcing the government’s emphasis on a transparent, timely and merit-based selection process.
Addressing the newly appointed officers, the Chief Minister said, “This recruitment reflects our commitment to a transparent, timely and merit-based selection process. I expect all newly appointed officers to work with integrity, ensure prompt service to citizens, and strengthen people-centric governance.”
In a separate programme at Mantralaya, Sawant also handed over job offer letters to the children of freedom fighters under the Scheme for Providing Employment in Government to the Children of Freedom Fighters.
Calling the initiative a tribute to Goa’s liberation heroes, the Chief Minister stated, “This initiative is a humble tribute to the sacrifices made for our state’s liberation and a commitment to support their families with dignity and opportunity.”
The government reiterated its commitment to honouring freedom fighters and ensuring fair employment opportunities through structured and transparent mechanisms.
