PANAJI: Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant inaugurated the Gandhi Shilp Bazaar 2025 at Kala Academy on Thursday, coinciding with Gandhi Jayanti and as part of the Seva Pakhwada celebrations.
The exhibition showcases India’s rich handicrafts, highlighting the ideals of Swadeshi and Atmanirbharta while providing artisans with recognition and opportunities to promote their work.
Speaking at the event, CM Sawant said, “I urge Goans and tourists to support our artisans—each handcrafted piece reflects our heritage, the dignity of labour, and the soul of Bharat.
Together, let us strengthen our culture and economy, moving towards a Swayampurna and Viksit Goa.”
The Gandhi Shilp Bazaar features a wide range of traditional handicrafts, promoting local craftsmanship and encouraging sustainable livelihoods for artisans.
The event forms part of the government’s ongoing efforts to celebrate culture, creativity, and community service under the Seva Pakhwada initiative.
