PANAJI: Indirectly terming AAP as “political vultures”, Chief minister Dr Pramod Sawant informed that Govt granted Rs 88 crore subsidy to power consumers, even last year.
AAP Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal on social media had tried to take credit for the subsidy of electricity prices in Goa.
“In view of the hardships faced by consumers and businesses owing to the Covid19 Pandemic, Govt of Goa has decided to give a power subsidy of Rs 120 crores for the year 2021-22,” said CM Sawant.
He further said that some political vultures have rushed to claim credit, conveniently forgetting that the same subsidy to the tune of Rs 88 crore was given last year too.
“Goa model of Governance puts people first. As for the noisemakers, let me remind them, actions speak louder than words,” he added.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had claimed that AAP fought with the people of Goa; as a result, today, the Goa government gave subsidies to stop the hike in electricity prices.
“Without becoming a single MLA, “AAP” stopped the increase in electricity prices,” Kejriwal had said.
