DELHI: Chief Minister Dr. Pramod P Sawant invited the PM Narendra Modi to inaugurate the historic Aguada Jail, beautified under the Swadesh Darshan Scheme.
CM also briefed the PM on the current covid scenario in Goa and the on-going preparations for the 3rd Wave.

Sawant also met with the Union Minister of Tribal Affairs Shri Arjun Munda ji. CM led the delegation from Goa to request the inclusion of Goa’s Gouli-Dhangar Community in the ST Category.
CM also led the delegation to Hon’ble Home Minister Shri Amit Shah ji to discuss the various issues of the state including giving ST status to the Gauli-Dhangar Community in Goa.
He also met with Shri Bhupendra Yadav, Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change. CM congratulated Mr. Yadav on his induction as the Cabinet Minister and discussed various issues related to Environment & Forest in Goa.
CM Dr. Pramod Sawant met with Mr. Ashwini Vaishnaw, Minister of Information Technology and discussed the implementation of Bharat Net Fiber Project in Goa.
Sawant met the Union Minister of Road Transport & Highways Shri Nitin Gadkari Ji & Minister of State, Gen. VK Singh today. The various ongoing infrastructural works were discussed and reviewed for speedy completion.
Goa Government today signed a MoU with the Mineral Exploration Corporation Ltd., in presence of CM Dr Pramod Sawant and Union Minister of Coal & Mines Shri Pralhad Joshi ji, to assess the mineral resources in Goa by conducting geo-scientific exploration and to establish the state’s mineral inventory.
