ST INEZ: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said that all Smart City works including sewerage works, 4.3 km concrete road work etc will continue in the rains.
Earlier CM said had announced that all works will be stopped for now and restarted in October, post monsoon.
Sawant said today that all works undertaken by GSUDA, PWD etc will continue during the monsoons. This will ensure that work gets completed and digging need not be taken up all over again in October and also facilitate identifying and rectifying clogged drains, he added.
CM said that the decision to continue with the works has been taken after review meeting held today. All labourers and machinery which had been shifted will be brought back on site, he added.
“It is possible to do the concrete road work in the rain. Sewer work will be completed first,” he said. “There are no chances of flooding,” CM Sawant claimed.
