Panaji: On the occasion of the 39th Goa Statehood Day, Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant presented the Bhasha Puraskar awards for three consecutive years—2022-2023, 2023-2024, and 2024-2025—at a ceremony organized by the Directorate of Official Language at Kala Academy, Campal, Panaji.
In the Konkani language category, the prestigious ‘Dnyanpeeth Awardee Ravindra Kelekar Konkani Bhasha Puraskar’ for 2022-2023 was awarded to Shri Manikrao Ram Nayak Gaunekar. Shri Suresh Ramchandra Pai received the award for 2023-2024, while Shri Bhiku Bomi Naik was honoured for 2024-2025.
In the Marathi language category, the ‘B. D. Satoskar Marathi Bhasha Puraskar’ for 2022-2023 was conferred upon Shri Shambhu Bhau Bandekar. The 2023-2024 award went to Shri Anil Gajanan Samant, and Shri Ramesh D. Onskar was the recipient for 2024-2025.
The awards recognize significant contributions to the promotion and enrichment of Konkani and Marathi languages in Goa.
