PANAJI: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant chaired a high-level meeting at the State Secretariat to assess the progress of various government schemes and review the implementation of the state budget. The meeting was attended by the Chief Secretary and senior officials from multiple departments. Emphasis was laid on improving the efficiency of scheme execution and ensuring that government services effectively reach citizens across Goa. Briefing the media after the meeting, the Chief Minister said that fast-tracking the rollout of budgetary commitments and preparing proposals aligned with announcements in the Union Budget were top priorities. “We must ensure that our proposals for Union Budget initiatives are ready from day one,” Sawant stated. He further directed officials to finalize and forward these proposals to the central government by the end of April. The meeting also reviewed Goa’s preparedness for the upcoming NITI Aayog meeting.
